How Koshish sources its exam facts, how content is verified, and the honest current status of our reviewer desks.
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Every syllabus, eligibility and paper-pattern fact on an exam page is restated from the official notification or brochure that governs it. Primary sources only — for UPSC, for example, the Commission's own notification — with secondary sites used only to cross-check and never as the sole source.
In our backend corpus each source-backed row stores the official source URL alongside the fact, so a reader and our own audits can trace a published fact back to the document it came from. Primary documents are transcribed to a committed text snapshot and hashed (SHA-256), so any later edit to the snapshot is detectable.
Our question bank is grounded in previous-year questions and exam-style items. A question is labelled with a year or shift only when that specific claim has per-question evidence; otherwise it is presented as exam-style practice, not as a past paper. Distractors and explanations are checked against the same source, and we never present a static pool re-titled as a daily set.
Our reviewer registry currently holds editorial desk identities — roles such as a track desk — and not contracted, named people. For that reason we do not publish a named reviewed-by byline, and our structured data emits no reviewer entity. When a real, accountable reviewer is recorded, this page and the affected exam pages will name them.
No invented metrics, user counts or testimonials. No fabricated publication dates: the content-updated date on a page is the date that page's content last changed in our repository, not a review date we cannot prove. No AI-generated text passed off as verified editorial content.
If you believe a fact is wrong or out of date, email support@koshish.app with the page and the official source that contradicts it. A verified correction updates the affected row and moves the page's content date.
